Congratulations to Scholarship Recipients

Dr. Dave P. Johnson Scholarships were given to the following students:

2019 Recipients

The Dr. Dave P. Johnson Scholarship Organization recently honored four recipients with our scholarship award. The luncheon took place at the residence of Ms. Lee’Morise-Smith Rollings. This year marks the twentieth anniversary of our wonderful organization honoring our recipients for their academic achievements. It remains our mission to provide this award for those that strive for excellence both in and outside of the classroom.

As we continue the legacy of our beloved Dr. Johnson, we are reminded of a quote shared by Jeanette-Johnson White, the daughter of Dr. Dave P.& Juanita Johnson. “He that learns the most, will go further faster”. The scholastic achievements of these individuals have proven to be the results of what our organization stands for. We feel it is our obligation to provide our future leaders with the same tools Dr. Johnson gave us, and we plan to do so for many years to come.

Each year we gather sponsors and put in much groundwork to help raise funds to assist collegiate eligible students for the next level in their academic journey. Our events include live entertainment, food, guest speakers, and much more throughout the evening. All donations and ticket purchases are tax-deductible. As always, this is about the students. We want to ensure that your investment is worth it.

This year we are pleased to announce our four recipients:
